Uncle Jay Has a Booboo

Research says that children with mentally ill parents or caregivers struggle more when adversity hits. They have poorer psychosocial behavioral tools in their repertoire to deal with it. But resilience can be developed through open communication between the child and caregiver. The book acts as a medium to facilitate this.

The book was kept open-ended intentionally so more caregivers with mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder could help their littles understand the caregiver’s struggle and build empathy and resilience. Thus, acting as a tool, to help kids from these backgrounds to adapt better psycho socially.
